What we do

Accounting, Tax & Advisory

Business owners work with multiple providers without anyone seeing the full picture. We manage the financial side of owning a business:

  • Tax preparation and bookkeeping, so compliance is covered and off your plate
  • Tax planning and fractional CFO, to help you make and keep more money

Personal and business, under one firm, built around the owner.

What this looks like in action

Working with us

Three stages, one relationship

Most owners start with getting compliant, then move into planning, then into advisory. You can enter at any stage, and you keep the same CPA the whole way through.

Client reviews

What owners say about working with us

Owners describe the same two things again and again: guidance that arrives through the year rather than at filing time, and a CPA who explains the reasoning.

  • “Great experience with the tax preparation process at Kafoo. Great processes, guidance, and proactivity. What really stood out though is the tax planning. Having guidance through the year made all the difference in being prepared for tax payments. Would highly recommend Kafoo!”

Who you work with

You work directly with a CPA

Kafoo CPA was founded by Ali Bawi, a Certified Public Accountant with a decade of accounting and tax experience across Fortune 100 finance teams and firms of every size.

He leads every client relationship and reviews the work. You are not handed to a junior preparer you never meet, which means the person who files your return is the person who understands how your business actually runs.

Common questions

Straight answers before you reach out

If your question isn’t here, ask it directly, you’ll get a real answer from a CPA, not a sales script.

Ask us anything

Kafoo CPA is built for business owners, people who run an owner-operated company and also file a personal return. Our clients typically range from pre-revenue startups to businesses around $10M in revenue, across tech, ecommerce, creative agencies, professional services, and real estate. If you want one CPA handling both sides of your financial life instead of three providers who never talk to each other, you are the right fit.

We offer three connected service areas. Compliance covers individual and business tax preparation, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and QuickBooks setup. Optimization covers tax planning, entity structuring, S‑Corp elections, and accounting workflow improvement. Growth covers fractional CFO support, financial advisory, cash flow management, and strategic planning.

Yes, and that is the point of the firm. We prepare personal returns (Form 1040) alongside business returns (Forms 1065, 1120‑S, and 1120). Because owner income flows between the two, handling them together means your business decisions and your personal tax position are planned as one picture rather than two disconnected filings.

Three things. First, one firm handles your personal and business finances, so nothing falls between providers. Second, you work directly with a CPA, your work is not handed off to a junior preparer you never meet. Third, we do not stop at compliance: the same firm that files your return also builds the tax plan and the reporting you use to run the business.

Yes. Early-stage businesses are often where the right setup matters most, entity choice, clean books from the first month, and a payroll and tax structure that will not need to be unwound later. We regularly work with pre-revenue and first-year companies and keep the scope proportional to the stage you are actually at.

Yes. As volume grows, the questions shift from “are we compliant?” to “what can we afford, and what is actually working?” That is where our fractional CFO and advisory work comes in: cash flow forecasting, performance reporting, and decision support for hiring, pricing, and spending, without the cost of a full-time CFO.

We focus on tech and SaaS, ecommerce, creative and marketing agencies, professional services and consulting, and real estate and investment entities. These businesses share a common need: industry-specific tax knowledge paired with modern tools and clean systems.

Yes, and we will tell you early. We do not take on construction contractors, healthcare practices, or nonprofit organizations. Each carries specialized compliance requirements that deserve a firm dedicated to them, and we would rather refer you well than serve you thinly.

Pricing depends on scope, the number of entities, transaction volume, how current your books are, and whether you need planning and advisory alongside compliance. Ongoing work is quoted as a flat monthly or annual fee so there are no surprise hourly bills, and one-time projects such as a bookkeeping cleanup are quoted separately after we see the actual condition of the records. You get the number before any work starts.

Start with a consultation. Tell us about your business, entity type, where the books stand, and what is currently frustrating you. We will tell you what we would do first, what it would cost, and whether we are the right firm for it. We respond within four hours.
